Successful Auxiliary Live Auction hosted by the Auxiliary of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono
(East Stroudsburg) More than 60 volunteers and 104 donors helped raised funds during the annual auxiliary live auction hosted by the Auxiliary of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono. During the three-day event which was held at the East Stroudsburg University’s Digital Media Technology Department, $21,000 was raised. “On Facebook alone, we reached 2,173 viewers with 466 engaged due to better marketing,” says Shawn C. Thoms, president of the Auxiliary of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono.
“This year’s auction was successful thanks to the tremendous support and hard work of our volunteers, sponsors, and donors. It is truly inspiring to see our community come together in support of the Mobile Mammography Unit. Early detection is our first-line of defense in the fight against breast cancer,” states Thoms.
The ability to offer a Mobile Mammography Unit, which contains the most advanced imaging technology, 3D tomosynthesis, will help provide better access to care to those in need of vital healthcare services and provide peace of mind they are receiving the best care possible.
For more than a century, the mission of the Auxiliary has remained the same:
