Pocono Arts March Studio Classes
 
STROUDSBURG – The Pocono Arts Council will offer the following classes during the month of March.  Classes are held at several locations throughout the region.  To register call Pocono Arts Council office at 570-476-4460 or register online at www.poconoarts.org.
 
Intermediate Watercolor
Location:  Eastern Monroe Public Library, Pullen Room
Sundays 1:00-4:00 pm, March 3, 10, 16, and 24 (Snow Date March 31)
Instructor Iraina Caramelli
Sundays 1-4pm
Come join us in this ongoing watercolor journey and discover the flexibility of this wonderful medium.  We will cover composition, form shapes and definitely color!!!  Students can work from photos that they have taken or utilize the still life that will be set up during each workshop. A very free approach will be explored where your creativity takes wing.

Children’s Printmaking Workshop (Ages 9-13)

Keystone Building (Room #237) NCC Monroe Campus · Rt. 715, Tannersville, PA
Saturdays 1:00-4:00pm · March 2, 9, 16, and 23 (Snow Date: March 30)
Register now for this special Printmaking Series held in the Keystone Building (Room #237). Students are requested to commit to at least 3 consecutive classes to help the instructor plan and to allow students to fine tune and build upon their projects.
Students will learn how to make their own simple printing tools with upcycled and natural materials. This class will help students learn about patterns in their daily lives. Use of color, including layering of color will be explored. Students will learn about the history of printmaking; how it has evolved and current techniques.
Take chances and create something completely unique; printmaking encourages spontaneous creativity. Students should bring a pencil, notebook, colored pencils and water and a simple snack. Finished projects will include greeting cards and other unique take-home creations. Student work will be on exhibition on the final day of class
Instructor: Suzanne Werfelman is a retired art teacher/artist who taught students in NYC, NJ and the Poconos for over 35 years. Suzanne graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a degree in Art Education.
Tuition: $50/4-weeks or $15/class
 
POCONO ARTS CLASSES FILL ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. PLACEMENT IN A COURSE IS SECURED WHEN PAYMENT IN FULL IS RECEIVED. IF POCONO ARTS MUST CANCEL A CLASS DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT, STUDENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED START DATE OF THE CLASS AND FULL REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. POCONO ARTS WILL NOT REFUND OR REDUCE ANY CLASS FEES FOR MISSED CLASSES OR LATE ENROLLMENT.
