The Pocono Chamber’s Education Committee is once more hosting the heartfelt Youth Appreciation Ceremony. This year’s event will be hosted virtually as a Zoom Webinar on Friday, April 30th from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The ceremony brings together business professionals and community leaders from across our region including legislators, township managers, local business owners, healthcare professionals, non-profit leaders and community heroes to celebrate the achievements of Monroe County’s High School students.
The program will be honoring and recognizing eight High School Seniors who have overcome great adversity while garnering outstanding academic achievements. Students from CareerLink, East Stroudsburg Area School District North and South High School, Mount Pocono Area School District East and West High School, Monroe Career and Technical Institute, Pleasant Valley High School and Stroudsburg High School will be represented. This year’s event is free for all to attend thanks to PPL Electric Utilities; the 2021 Presenting Sponsor and East Stroudsburg University.
The Chamber would also like to wish a special thanks to all current community partners throughout Monroe County who have generously donated items to gift this year’s honorary students. The program features special remarks from our Monroe County Commissioners, student introductions from representatives of their respective High Schools, and student remarks where the honorees have an opportunity to share their journey regarding their academic achievements and paths to success!
