Join the Pocono Chamber of Commerce for the Spark PA Ribbon Cutting on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 11 AM to 12 PM, with the ceremony at 11:30 AM!
Though Spark first opened its doors in New York City in 2015, husband-and-wife founders Sebastian and Amanda Alappat brought their vision to the Pocono Mountains in 2023 with the opening of Spark PA. Spark PA was founded on the belief that childhood should be filled with creativity, movement, mindfulness, and meaningful time in nature. Dedicated to whole child creative development, every program is rooted in Spark's four pillars: Art, Yoga, Meditation, and Nature.
Since opening in the Poconos, Spark PA has become a vibrant community hub, offering forest school, summer camps, children's art and yoga classes, adult art classes, teen nights, chess clubs, community meet-ups, workshops, and seasonal events that bring people of all ages together. The expansion of Spark PA's new outdoor studio marks an exciting new chapter. Designed to deepen the connection between creativity and the natural world, the space allows Spark PA to expand its educational offerings, host larger community gatherings, provide more outdoor programming, and create even more opportunities for families to learn, create, celebrate, and connect together.
