The Pocono Chamber of Commerce, Monroe County Career Link, and the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau present the Monroe County Career Fair on Thursday May 13, 2021 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Audience: About 35 local businesses and over 300 local career seekers.
Dear Employer,
Finding the right candidate can be challenging under the best of circumstances, and currently, I’m hearing that employability skills are the main issue. How do you find a candidate that is actually going to show up on time, ready to work-EVERYDAY? On Thursday, May 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, the Pocono Chamber of Commerce, and PA CareerLink® Monroe County are partnering to bring you face-to-face with hundreds of highly skilled and qualified applicants, pro-actively seeking careers, to help you find that “perfect fit”. As the economy tries to recover from COVID-19 and the impact of the last year, your attendance will provide you with an efficient opportunity to survey a large number of job applicants quickly and inexpensively, as well as, enable you to network with other employers and promote your company.
We know that costs of recruitment can be staggering and we want to help ease those costs so, we are keeping our fees affordable to entice your participation. Our goal is to put Pennsylvanians back to work in the tourism and hospitality industries (although we won’t limit participation to just that); our purpose is not to make a profit, but to ensure the economic growth of our region. The cost will include an 8’ table, 2 chairs, signage, and 2 complimentary lunches. This fee will also allow us to provide your company with print, radio, and TV exposure as we advertise your company’s attendance in the weeks prior to the event.
To participate in the Fair please complete and return the enclosed reservation form no later than May 1st, 2021. You may also visit our website (www.poconochamber.org) to obtain an on-line registration form. As promised, the cost per table is only $50. Checks should be made payable to “Pocono Chamber of Commerce” and mailed to the Pocono Chamber at 1004 W Main St. Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Please note that our space is limited. A prompt response will insure you a table at our fair.
