Join the Pocono Chamber of Commerce for the NorthBound & Co. Ribbon Cutting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, with the ceremony at 3:00 PM!
NorthBound is a community-based organization dedicated to providing free, compassionate, peer-based support to individuals working toward recovery and greater stability. Their new location in Scotrun will serve as NorthBound’s second location, allowing them to expand their reach and provide more accessible, individualized services to members of the community.
The Scotrun location will focus on one-on-one support through Certified Recovery Specialists, case management, and workforce assistance. Their team will work alongside each individual to identify personal goals, build confidence, connect with employment opportunities, and navigate the challenges that often arise during early recovery. This may include transportation support for important appointments and employment opportunities, assistance connecting with community resources, and guidance in overcoming barriers that can make it difficult to move forward.
In addition to personalized peer support, participants will have access to specialized online educational and personal-development programs that can be completed at their own pace. Through practical assistance, informed support, and meaningful connections, NorthBound’s Scotrun location will provide a welcoming, judgment-free environment where individuals can strengthen their recovery, develop new skills, and build a healthy supported community to support them in their recovery.
