Free Documentary Showing " Pardon Me"

Have you or someone you know been continuously impacted by a criminal record from long ago that prohibits you from getting a job, home , financial resources or other negative reactions? There is help to get your record cleansed through Pardon from the governor. Join the Monroe County Pardon Project for an educational opportunity to learn about the pardon process. We will be hosting a free screening of a documentary called “ Pardon Me” which offers personal stories of real community members who have positively changed their lives after incarceration and probation with a pardon. After the screening there will be a Q&A session to answer any questions you may have. Who should attend? EVERYONE!!!! Because we all know someone who has been justice impacted and a pardon could change their life! "Pardon Me" is an award-winning documentary that pulls back the curtain on Pennsylvania’s pardon process and the people fighting to rebuild their lives after incarceration. More than just a film, it’s a ready-made conversation starter for reentrants, families, educators, legal professionals, and community leaders who want to explore second chances, criminal justice reform, and civic engagement. After the Documentary, If you have been motivated to help us make a difference, you are invited to attend Pardon Coach training or if you are interested in finding out if you are eligible for a pardon you may attend our Pardons Clinic, sit with an attorney or pardon coach and begin the process to a new tomorrow.
